finally Makoto's litening room was updated since long time...
i explain the titles a little that i chose for Makoto's Listining Room in this week.
-Rosina de Peira e Martina/Trobadors [Revolum]
Rosina de Peira is the most famous Occitan singer. Martina is her daughter, of course the great singer too. this album is one of the great album in Occitan music records.
i could meet her in last my solo Europe tour in May and June. then i had one day off in France, so i tried to visit her flat in Peyra with Audrey and Estelle. (i need the translater, because she said she couldn't speak English! also they took film this meeting.) so i could interview her about many questions what i had for a long time. then she told me her musical philosophy, her history, history of Occitan music and philosophy of her life. it was the greatest experience in my life. and this night there was the Occitan Festa in Toulouse, finally i could hear her real live singing! it was so beautiful and powerful! i was crying to hear her singing...i'd never felt like this from any other music in my life.
then she introduce me to audience what i covered La Novia with Rock band also i came from Japan to see her. and she sang La Novia!
she said to be interested in playing with AMT. if we can have any chance to play together in near future, my dream will come true...
-Nelson Angelo e Joyce [EMI]
i love Bossa Nova very much. especially vocal! Joyce is one of my favorite singer.
i feel same atmosphere to acid folk when i listen her voice.
i'd like to visit to Brazil! it's very interested country for me...
AMT will release one album from Brazilian label in near future, so can we play in there?
-Franco Battiato/L'Egitto Prima Delle Sabbie [Biem/Siae]
when i was a teenager, i liked Progressive Rock very much. of course Soft Machine, Gong, EL&P, Pink Floyd and many British Prog Rock. also i loved many German Prog Rock like Amon Duul, Guru Guru, Faust, Can, Neu!, Popol Vuh, these are called Kraut Rock now... and i loved Italian Jazz Rock (not Synphonic Rock!)...Area, PFM and somthing else.
i bought many Franco Battiato works in last solo Europe tour. he is the one of greatest musician in Italian Rock history... especially early 70's, he made many great psychedelic & Prog. rock albums. i think Italian Rock was died late 70's or early 80's.(same with German Rock...)
but i really hope many great bands will come again from Italy in near future...
i'd like to hear from you, so please write any messages on here.
